2022-23 SEF School Grants: $102k

SEF has granted $102,000 this school year!

2022-23 SEF School Grants: $102k

SEF helps fulfill student enrichment needs and wishes on every campus in Sunnyvale School District with school-specific grants. In the fall, 2022-2023 SEF awarded $102,000 in funding to support after-school enrichment, arts and music, JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion) resources, learning experiences (field trips, assemblies), outdoor classroom or garden spaces, STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), and whole child wellness programs and resources.

Field trip support continues to be the most popular request from our schools, and SEF is proud to be able to help create more opportunities for students to get out and explore.

The various activities and resources funded by SEF school grants substantially benefit families and students who are socio-economically disadvantaged as well as English Language Learners, according to grantees.

According to school principals, 75% of the activities and resources SEF school grants support this school year would likely not have been possible without SEF’s support.

Supporting kids going to science camp

We’re happy to have once again granted funds – $15,000! – to the Sunnyvale Elementary School District to support science camp. As you know, many students in the district struggle to pay the fee to attend science camp in 5th grade. We are happy to support equal education for all students across the district.

If you want to help support science camp and other ways we support the Sunnyvale School District, please donate today.
